Aggie Access
Quick Summary
- AggieAccess is an initiative to standardize security systems across campus, replacing multiple distinct key card control systems with a single streamlined system.
Overview
A collaboration between the UC Davis Police Department and Design and Construction Management, AggieAccess replaces multiple distinct key-card control systems in 153 buildings across campus. As each building is transitioned to AggieAccess, all individuals with entry privileges are required to have new AggieAccess credentials.
Impact
FOA Communications raised awareness about the Aggie Access project as a whole, developed a website and provided communication tools to support outreach to faculty, staff and students impacted by the transition.
Our Approach
FOA Communications developed a comprehensive communications package, including:
- Strategic communications plan
- Website
- Photography
- News stories
- Newsletter for key card managers
- Communications toolkit, including signage, sample emails and mobile invitations
What’s Next for AggieAccess
Card readers are being installed at 153 buildings in a phased approach through 2023.
FOA Communications continues to provide communications support, as needed,
throughout the course of the project.
